MATCH REPORT: LA GALAXY EARN 4-0 WIN OVER CF MONTREÁL AT HOME

There were fireworks on and off the field at Dignity Health Sports Park as the LA Galaxy earned a 4-0 victory over CF Montreál on Monday night in their largest margin of victory for the 2022 season thus far. Javier “Chicharito” Hernández got the night started off on the right foot early, scoring at a tricky angle off an assist from Efraín Álvarez. Dejan Joveljić kept the good energy going, converting a penalty kick at the end of the first half after VAR determined a Montreál handball.


The Galaxy kept the momentum goingin the second half. Rayan Raveloson scored his first goal of the season after a nice through-ball from Daniel Aguirre found Julián Araujo, who delivered the assist. Raveloson had a brace on the night, as the Galaxy delivered some beautiful combination play leading to a back-heel pass from Sacha Kljestan for his 99th career assist.

Up next, the LA Galaxy face LAFC at Banc of California in the second and final 2022 regular-season installment of El Tráfico on Friday, July 8. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. and the match will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.

It was an emphatic win for Los Angeles Galaxy FC as they thrilled fans with some beautiful and exciting attacking football all through the period the match lasted. Their forwards were always looking for leaks through the opposition defense that they would capitalize on and in the end they were rewarded with a very big win. Chicharito was in another fine form for the home side as not only did he open the scoring, but he was also always a thorn in the flesh of Montreál. They will be hoping to hold on to this fine form for some time.
